Clay!

Tuesday, tomorrow is my farewell party. It’s both so happy and sad in the same time since I will meet my family soon and must leave Thailand, my new friend, my new students, my mentors, my supervisor and many more. It was a blessing from God I could meet them. So last night I prepare the best present I can give to them, I’m planning to give the present in farewell party but it seems like my mentors can’t come because of the school meeting. But it’s okay since I’ll meet them next Thursday.

So today I’m planning to teach the kids Tari Jaranan once again. But because of the topic of lesson today was transportation, I cancel it (it’s not related at all). Finally, I just helping my mentors and observing the way she teach the students. After doing the worksheet the students playing with clay. They can make anything they want, and I play with them. Since topic of the day was transportation. I decided to make a plane. Some of the children made me laugh since they look hasn’t move on from dragonfly yet, they make a dragonfly clay. To be honest, I’m happy that they remember what I teach to them.

I seat in a small group and I show the children around me the plane that I made. A students named Pattapi suddenly run into me and show his clay, he want me to make him a plane too, but I said to make it by himself, so he try to make one. Another children named Oska suddenly try to scare me with his snake clay, so I act like I’m afraid.
